Vacuum the Rug: - Spread the rug flat with the wrong side up. - Vacuum thoroughly on both sides. - If outside is not available, use a dry area like the kitchen or garage. 3. Mix a Gentle Detergent Solution: - Fill a large bucket with cool water. - Add one to two tablespoons of gentle detergent like Woolite. - Prepare a second bucket with clean water. 4. Lightly Scrub: - Dip a sponge into the cleaning solution. - Sponge the rug in a grid pattern (3 feet by 3 feet) with gentle pressure. - Rinse the sponge frequently. - Avoid over-wetting the fibers. 5.
